The shift toward using jewellery
for a truly personal statement has
been a long time coming.
@lovepegz
June 24, 2024
The shift toward using jewellery for a truly personal statement has been a long time coming. There’s a renewed interest in pieces that feel intentional, whether it’s a custom design or something that speaks to them. To help us get inspired, we asked Vancouver-based creator Peggy Tsai to share her most treasured memory of jewellery, what trends she’s excited to try and how she likes to style her jewellery pieces.

What is your first memory of jewellery?
It was 1994, the year I immigrated to Vancouver with my family. I remember my last day of school, my grade 2 teacher invited my mom and I over to her home for dinner. After dinner as we were saying our goodbyes, she handed me a mahogany jewellery music box. I carefully opened it and a small ballerina popped up in the centre and started twirling to the tune of Fur Elise. There was a heart-shaped gold locket with a photo of my teacher and I inside. I still treasure it to this day.

What kind of jewellery trends are you most excited to wear/try this season?
I’ve been loving the link styles and custom personalized jewellery. Bangles have become one of my recent favourites and pearls will always be a classic.

How do you like to style jewellery with your looks (day or night)?
I tend to gravitate towards pearl or diamond earrings whether in stud form or dangling form. For bracelets and necklaces, I like thinner chains as you can dress them up or down. Sometimes a nice watch goes a long way and it’s the only accessory you need.

While necklaces, bracelets and earrings
might be the last thing you put on when
putting together an outfit.
@sophiesuchan
June 24, 2024
While necklaces, bracelets and earrings might be the last thing you put on when putting together an outfit, they certainly don’t play minor characters when it comes to the whole ensemble. With a new season bringing with it a bounty of bold fashion trends, it’s easy to overlook what’s happening with all things jewellery. To help us get inspired, we asked fashion and beauty content creator Sophie Suchan to share what trends she’s excited to try this season, how she likes to style her favourite jewellery pieces and her first treasured memory of jewellery.

What is your first memory of jewellery?
My first memory of jewellery would be from my mom’s collection – she has the most incredible pieces that she had collected over the years and also pieces that were passed down from my grandma. I remember she would keep them hidden in a large wooden box and I would always ask her if I could look at them because I loved anything sparkly. She had the most amazing diamond clip-on earrings and I would always want to try them on since I didn’t have my ears pierced at the time. Those are the moments that really made me fall in love with jewellery and fashion at such a young age!

What kind of jewellery trends are you most excited to wear/try this season?
At this moment, I love diamond stud earrings. I think they are such a timeless, classic piece that will never go out of style and always makes you look more confident and polished no matter what you're wearing! Speaking of classic pieces, I've also been loving watches. I don't currently own one but have had my eye on a few brands and models for a very long time. It's such a timeless investment and it elevates any look!

How do you like to style jewellery with your looks (day or night)?
It depends on what I'm wearing and what type of hardware I'm committing to that night but I think any statement gold earring looks great with jeans and a t-shirt – it really brings a look together and adds an extra element that completes an outfit. I'm not typically a necklace person so I like to stick to earrings, rings, and bracelets to accessorize my looks, both day to night.

There’s nothing like jewellery
encouraging curious conversations
that’ll lead to your favourite memories.
@paniznourbakhsh
June 24, 2024
There’s nothing like jewellery encouraging curious conversations that’ll lead to your favourite memories. And it’s especially special when a treasured piece is passed down from generation to generation. The tradition of passing down heirlooms has been a cherished custom — a way to keep memories alive and family history preserved, which is something Paniz Nourbakhsh knows all too well. The Vancouver-based style influencer talks first memories of her favourite piece of jewellery, what trends she’s excited to try and how she likes to style her jewellery pieces.

What is your first memory of jewellery?
My first memory of jewellery is when I was 4 years old and my mom was wearing her three individual beautiful gold colourful rings. I always looked at the rings and admired the different colours of the stones. When I turned 27, my mother gifted two of the rings to me (green and pink) and the blue colour to my younger sister - she remembered how much I loved her rings. Now the two rings are what I wear most of the time and whenever I look down at my fingers I remember this beautiful story associated with it.

What kind of jewellery trends are you most excited to wear/try this season?
I’m so excited for this year’s jewellery trends. Oversized larger-than-life jewellery is something I’m looking forward to wearing because this means keeping my outfit simple and letting the jewelry do all the work. I’m also very much looking forward to anklets as I remember my mother wearing them a lot when I was younger and always admired it.

How do you like to style jewellery with your looks (day or night)?
I believe jewellery is so powerful when it comes to putting any look together whether it's a daytime look or evening. It’s really what makes or breaks your look and for me it’s important to invest in quality jewellery pieces that take your outfit to the next level. This way you can wear the simplest look and let your jewelry do all the talking.

Jewellery is personal, and beyond
special when you find a treasured
piece that suits your unique style.
@vitaliia
June 24, 2024
It’s a twinkle on the ear lobes; a cascade of glitter atop exposed collarbones; a bedazzle on the wrist; a sparkle on the finger–nothing elevates an outfit quite like jewellery. Jewellery is personal, and beyond special when you find a treasured piece that suits your unique style. To help us get inspired, we asked Vitaliia Chak to share what trends she’s excited to try, how she likes to style them and her first memory of jewellery.

What is your first memory of jewellery?
My earliest recollection of jewelry dates back to a cherished visit to a Tiffany’s store. It was there that I discovered the allure of a Return to Tiffany's heart-beaded bracelet, drawn to its exquisite simplicity and timeless elegance.

What kind of jewellery trends are you most excited to wear/try this season?
This season, I'm particularly excited about experimenting with the latest jewellery trends. Statement earrings have captivated my attention with their bold presence and ability to elevate any outfit. Additionally, I'm eager to incorporate chunky hardware-finished necklaces into my wardrobe; they offer a playful yet versatile styling option, perfect for both dressing up and embracing a more casual aesthetic.

How do you like to style jewellery with your looks (day or night)?
I find styling jewellery to be incredibly enjoyable; it adds a touch of sophistication to any outfit effortlessly. Recently, I've been drawn to necklaces as my go-to accessory. I adore styling my striking Return to Tiffany Full Heart Toggle Necklace; it's a true statement piece that instantly elevates my look. For evenings out, I opt for statement earrings, choosing them based on the occasion and my attire to add a touch of elegance to my ensemble.

@jamieout
June 24, 2024
A watch is more than an accessory that tells time, it’s a dapper way to have your arm dressed up, but in an understated, sleek way that’s not overdone. There isn’t any outfit that you can put on that a timepiece isn’t going to elevate. To help us get inspired, we asked Vancouver-based photographer and content creator Jamie Out to share his first memory, what watch trends he’s excited to try and how he likes to style his treasured timepieces.

What is your first memory of jewellery?
My first memory of a timepiece dates back to when I was in grade 3. I saved up and bought myself an original Mickey Mouse watch with rotating hands at Disneyland. I wore it proudly all the time and thought it was the coolest accessory ever.

What kind of jewellery trends are you most excited to wear/try this season?
This season, I'm most excited about trying out the Tudor Black Bay Bronze. I love how it patinas over time, giving it a unique and personalized look. It's versatile enough to pair with various outfits, and I appreciate its rugged durability, perfect for my active lifestyle and travels.

How do you like to style jewellery with your looks (day or night)?
When it comes to styling my timepiece, I like to keep it versatile. During the day, I often pair it with casual outfits for a touch of sophistication. At night, I may opt for a more formal or dressy look, but the timepiece always adds a hint of elegance regardless of the occasion. For others looking to style their timepieces, I'd suggest considering the versatility of the watch and how it complements different styles, from casual to formal, to create a cohesive and polished look.

Cool Tone Jewellery
Consider this your guide to the perfect
silver jewellery collection
May 1, 2024
In the past year, silver jewellery has been edging yellow gold out and making its way into the foreground. From the runways to the red carpet, it’s hard to miss the glimmering power of sterling silver and white gold’s cooler tones. Unlike its yellow gold counterpart, it’s one of those precious metals that effortlessly goes well with any look – day or night.

From striking hoop earrings to shimmery bracelets, cooler tones have taken hold once more. Scroll below to see this season’s most beautiful white gold jewellery pieces.

Hoop earrings

Every jewellery collection needs a pair of hoops or two to elevate any look. David Yurman’s Stax offers a contemporary interpretation of elements that are signature to the brand with sterling silver and pavé diamonds to offer a sense of unexpectedness.

Tennis bracelet

The iconic Serpenti Viper bracelet from Bvlgari has proved to be classic – and this one featuring 18k white gold and pavé diamonds throughout the serpent design is one to last for decades. Style it with a linen button-down shirt or a sleek evening look.
Bvlgari bracelet, bulgari.com

Chain necklace

The right chain necklace has similar styling power to a simple white t-shirt. This season calls for a bolder and edgier design like Tiffany & Co.’s HardWear Collection. Crafted in 18k white gold with two links featuring pavé diamonds, this necklace looks exceptional on its own or layered and mixed with other metals for your everyday look.

Stackable ring

Nothing enhances an oft-repeated outfit quite like a diamond ring. The Lorelei Chow Tai Fook 18k white gold and diamond ring makes for a beautiful heirloom piece that can be passed down through generations. Wear the ring on its own as part of your tried-and-true uniform or add more rings to the stack for a bold statement.

Classic timepiece

Stainless-steel watches add a touch of athleticism and versatility to any outfit. The Tudor Clair de Rose 34mm steel case watch featuring a diamond-set dial can be dressed up or down for any occasion. Instantly feel polished with any look in your wardrobe.
